On one trip back from Mexico, we were stopped in a line of traffic on the highway at about 11:00 a.m. It was a manifestation, which means a group of people that were unhappy with the government for some reason stopped traffic to make a statement. Michael got out of the car to ask if anyone knew how long they planned to stop traffic. Normally they close the road until 5:00 p.m., but we were blessed that they let us go through at 1:00 p.m., so we made it home before dark.

We girls waited in the car for a while until it got hot, then we got out and sat on the curb. |
